BeschreibungPARIS (imberbe, bonnet phrygien, chiton court, chlamyde, bottes) amorce un mouvement de fuite vers la g. tout en se retournant vers PHILOCTETE (barbe, chiton, pied bandé). Chacun bande son arc en direction de son adversaire.
Bemerkungen
Selon certaines traditions, Philoctète est soigné par Machaon avant de combattre, selon d'autres après, mais il est possible que l'artiste ait choisi de le représenter le pied bandé pour lever toute ambiguïté sur l'identité du personnage.
