| Description | Pilier hermaïque féminin surmonté d'une tête (ARTEMIS?, APHRODITE ?) dont la coiffure est séparée par une raie médiane, les longues mèches étant raménées sur les oreilles. Un péplos est sculpté, légèrement, sur la partie quadrangulaire. |
| Special notes | Selon Harrison, la sculpteur s'est peut-être inspiré d'un modèle du Ve s. av. J.-C., notamment d'Hékate. Le lieu de découverte du pilier (dans puits parmi des ossements) attribue peut-être un sens propitiatoire ou apotropaïque et plaiderait en faveur d'une identification avec Artemis plustôt qu'Aphrodite (LIMC Artemis n°76). ▼ ▲ |
